ranking dave's games

how would you rank dave's games? here is my order.

1 - basketball
2 - football
3 - baseball

what's interesting is that basketball is actually my least favorite sport of the three, but i truly think dave's basketball game is his best product. i like and play them all, though.

hockey is actually my favorite sport, so it will be interesting to see how that ranks once action! pc hockey is released.

I know this has nothing to do with sims, but I just heard that the University of Detroit will no longer carry their games on radio, but will opt for viewing their games on the internet. This is the second example of teams I used to listen to on radio, that are turning away from radio in favor of online viewing. Action BB and Windows 7 home premium

Now that Windows 7 is out, has any one had any experience with Action BB on Windows 7 home premium edition (64 bit). I have been unsuccessful in loading it with error messages.

Does anyone know, are all DK games downloadable? I live overseas, so downloading the game via the Internet is far more convenient than getting it through the mail.

For some reason I can't view anything in the football game unless I use the traditional type. Game crashes when I try to view in document form or html. They all work fine with the baseball game. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong? Mark

Have been an advocate since early on, stability and speed (reduced lag time between play calls) a real grabber.
Lately, I've read a few complaints of occassional crashes and my last 2 games seemed slow to me (Pro Football).
Anyone else notice a change of late?

No one complains more than myself about some lousy ratings, some unrealistic results and computer managers who take a coffee break at the wrong time. Sometimes I overlook the 98.3% of what is right about Action, and the skills and technology that made it all possible. I'm a tad confused as to how to replay a season with a player who only played a partial season. For example, I'm curious to see what Tyler Zeller would/could have done if he were healthy all year for the Tar Heels. He broke his wrist early in the year, and missed a ton of games. Is there a game setting that would allow this? Or is this just too unrealistic? Just curious, and any thoughts/comments are appreciated. Also, I'm still in denial after I guided my '74 Oakland A's...

I just wanted to officially thank Dave for the ability to order online instantly! I know hes offered this service for a while now but I never have really thanked he and his staff for this great option. Most other game companies make you order by snail mail and even though I am sure many Action gamers like to order by mail I sure love the easy online option. I am sure this has helped Action get amazing impulse buyer sells. I am one of those..LOL!

Hi, I am looking forward to the hockey game. I am wondering about other action games. Are they conducive to league play? Is there a commissioner mode? When a season is completed, is there a draft? Where do the drafted players come from? Are action sports games "replay games?" Or are they sim games (like Out of the Park, or NHL EHM)?

I'm currently reading this new book by Joe Posnanski about the '75 Reds called The Machine. It is a terrific read. I grew up a huge Reds fan during this time and thought I knew everything there was to know about the '75 Reds, but Posnanski gleans new nuggets of information and presents the whole story in a way that brings everything to life. Great, great book. Highly recommended to all baseball fans, especially Big Red Machine fans.

I have the 2008 football version with several seasons that I have installed. I purchased the 1968 season, downloaded it like all the other seasons and installed it to the game. When I go to the Active Season screen, this season shows, and it looks like it is active because it is showing on the bottom of the screen. But nothing comes up. Does anyone get this? It became available for us this year. The best part aside from live updates and play from all games It's incuded in something I subscribe to, may be the HD package. They go from game to game live. Between that and NFL Gameday everything you need for a full day of football. Very nice addition to U-Verse. Mark

Just a quick observation. Aside from fewer 20 game winners (if any), this 2009 season compares with the stats of the 1969-71 seasons.

IMHO, this has been one of the most balanced and enjoyable seasons in years. Hopefully the "Steroid era" has come to an end, and we can appreciate truly great play (i.e., Pujols.)
