The All-Star Game became reality in 1933. So, what if I finally take players from the dks BBFRANCHISE disk that has sat idly and dormant on my hard drive since purchasing it in 2008 or 2009 and form a "March Madness" Tourney? What if I also extract All-Stars from the 1919 & 1927 Seasons I own, or the 1941 and 1946 Seasons, and the 1952, 1956, & 1959 seasons and the 1960-2013 seasons?
The only qualification for those players from those seasons to qualify ... they had to make an All-Star Team. And then, what if I form these teams into 8 Decades ... a 1930's AL and NL team ... a 1940's AL and NL team, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, & 2000's? That is how this Project was born. The tourney format is below. The AL All Star Decade Teams will meet in 1 Bracket and the NL All Star Decade Teams will meet in the other. Each Series will be 7 Games. The final advancing AL Decade Team will meet the final advancing NL Decade Team for the Championship ... a true AL vs. NL All-Star Game for all the marbles:
