I have had to restart my replay as I screwed up my computer temporarily (for a second time I might add) and now it appears to be all better now. Fortunately I wasn't very far along and their were a couple of tweaks that I wanted to do a bit differently, so I guess all's well that ends well. I will play all games manually. Playing offense for both teams and I have pre-set the defensive computer managers to the strongest possible defense that my dubious abilities permit and I accept the computer play calls for defense. I have my own home brewed schedules because I hated when the NFL would "punish" the better teams by giving them tougher schedules while rewarding the poorer teams. My homebrewed ones are fairly balanced with all teams non divisional schedule having opponents records fairly close to .500 win percentage. Of course it's easier to do since I know how the teams' records ended up, but I do make them as balanced as possible. http://www.si.com/vault/issue/43089/44/2 This is the link from Sports Illustrated's "Vault" for the 1970 NFL Season preview edition if anybody is interested and away we go. One final tweak to the play-calling. Had to run some replays in order to get a better feel for 1970 NFL and to tweak the Computer Manager defenses to reflect the play-calling. It's amazing that even though my memory of football in that era is clear as a bell, the more modern play calling creeps into your thinking. Now I'm ready so here we go!. Okay I think there is a conspiracy afoot. . I am going to download the update for the 70's and one last restart. arrrgggg!!! we are up and ready to go. Made an adjustment to penalties because too few were being called and I corrected it by making it 20% more. Here we go!
