272 NCAA Teams placed in 8 Leagues (by Regions) made up of 34 Teams consisting of 3 Divisions in a 12-11-11 dks entry limitation format. However, there will be no divisional competition; rather, the 34 Teams will be competing as 1 League. Every team in each league/region plays each other once on a Neutral Court for a 33 Game Regular Season Schedule. Confused?
Then, the top 8 Teams from the 8 Leagues (by Region) advance to a Final 64 Team Tourney for the “Mother of all Mothers” National Championship Crown -(Remember Mother’s Day is this Sunday, 5/10/09).
269 Teams come from dks complete College seasons 02-08 and from the 00 & 01 dks individual College teams.
2 Teams come from Bakerstaffel; 01 Fresno State, 00 Tulsa
1 Team comes from mrsox17; 00 Temple
Each college has only 1 season entry, for example, 01 Duke ONLY, NOT 01 Duke & 06 Duke. Therefore, 272 individual colleges are competing for the title.
Teams were selected by a 1.5 year NCAA Statistical Research Project I just completed. A database was created based on proprietary statistical formulas used to rank, select, and place the teams in regions. A countless number of statistical sources (MOV, SOS, RPI etc.) and calculations make up these formulas. Action Basketball will be used to somewhat "test" these formulas. Or, am I somehow trying to "test" Action Basketball?Do you have a Favorite College? Are you an Alumnus? Coming real soon … Dave
